oops. spilled lots of sips of water on my pants just now. that makes three days in a row of getting slightly soaked by beverages, though luckily the water dries clear and is work-appropriate. it started tuesday, during my wonderful birthday celebration (thank you all!), when weavette said something that flustered me so, and several slurps of house merlot ended up all over my thankfully-black shirt and skirt, dousing my bare legs as well. last night, celebrating my favorite team's double header victories, some mischevious boy behavior culminated in a pitcher of beer careening across the table and into the booth space between me and short center. my legs again covered in alcohol, this time lager. later still that night, the third baseman slid down a banister with an (exceptionally) large glass of johnny walker black. his less than 10.0 dismount at the bottom resulted in a chest, my chest, full of scotch, my pants at this point still soggy with beer. if it wasn't for this damn conjunctivitis that won't go away and won't let anyone touch me, i'm sure being doused in booze could have been an advantage. instead i just felt inflammable in a more dangerous way all night.
